I spent most of my day today combining the elements that I've been working on:
I also created the rocket's crash animation, as well as the explosion that the crash creates. Once the rocket is out of fuel, it drops out of the sky at a speed of 50 blocks per second, and hits the ground with an explosion so large that it explodes through the entire dirt layer (8-10 blocks deep). Sorry about not posting yesterday, this is actually the post intended for yesterday. Yesterday, I created a world for the ship - you can float around in it, access the fuel hatch as well as the ship HUD. There's also a window for you to see the black nothingness of space. I also added a 'Launch' button the the HUD for travelling to other planets, patched some bugs within the HUD, and improved the look of the HUD. Until later today! |
