Progress on the new inventory system is excellent and will be done very shortly! I have finished the additem script that adds items to the inventory. I spent most of today configuring settings for metadata so that items can hold other data. With metadata, written books are possible (although highly complicated as I would have to create a binary parser, as one metatag is allowed).
I also revamped the item entity system. In the previous version of Crevis, I would have to create an item object for every single item. Now, there's just one item to represent all items, and block ids and metadata can be assigned to these items, which can be picked up to transfer the data from the entity to the inventory.
Now, creating items and blocks is hardly any work, and all block variables are stored in one file. This provides maximum efficiency. Blocks can literally be created in seconds as before they took several minutes to create. This will revolutionize what we will be able to do in the future.
