Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday; Weebly was being very slow and I couldn't access the blog. Today, I primarily worked on processing interfaces. Processing interfaces are interfaces that take a few seconds to process an input and turn it into an output (ex: furnace). It gets to be a bit complicated when putting an item into the interface and closing the interface and doing something elsewhere while waiting for the interface to process the item, because the current inventory system isn't optimized for this. After all of that techno-talk, feast your eyes on a screenshot of a furnace! ![]() I also spent a lot of time fine-tuning the crafting system, creating new crafting recipes, and fixing a ton of bugs. Hopefully I can get a video out soon showcasing AFK processing interfaces. I've also been working on a system called 'Ages'! The age system shows what 'age' or 'tier' you are in the game. The game will provide several quests for you to complete to achieve the ending. These tasks include crafting a certain item, etc. Some quests will boost you to the next age. For example, to get to the Stone Age, you need to complete the quest "Flint n' Mining" which requires you to make a flint pickaxe. The ages are: Foraging Age Stone Age Metalworks Age Industrial Age Mechwatts Age Automation Age Interstellar Age Quantum Age End Age Until next time!
